Fuck anyone who’s trying to “"pull receipts”“ on David Bowie right now in the wake of his death. You’re not promoting social justice or impressing anyone, you’re just exploiting a major cultural figure’s tragic death to win social awareness points and seem morally superior to others. he did horrible things at one point in his life and i’m not trying to justify that, but morality is not that black-and-white and he was a complex man who changed a lot of lives for the better and calling him out immediately after his death solely because people are sad about losing him is a really shitty thing to do.
